These paintings and illustrations were created over the course of a 2 year period when I was living and traveling around Mexico. I was moving around quite frequently, every 3 - 6 months I found myself in a new city or a new village. My work created during that time is illustrative in nature, seeking to capture the essence of warmth often felt in the streets, the homes of loving abuelas, tiendas, mercados, and comedors of Mexico.
